Senior Chiropractic Care
Gentle, age-appropriate chiropractic care to help you stay active and enjoy life.

Getting older doesn't have to mean living with chronic pain and stiffness. A lot of my patients in their 60s, 70s, and 80s tell me they assumed aches and pains were just "part of aging" and something they had to accept. But many of those issues — back pain, arthritis stiffness, reduced mobility — respond well to gentle chiropractic care.
Why Chiropractic Care Matters for Seniors
As we age, the spine undergoes natural changes. Discs lose some of their hydration and become less flexible. Joints may develop arthritis. Muscles lose tone and flexibility. Posture tends to shift forward. All of these changes can lead to pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion — and they can also increase the risk of falls.
What chiropractic care does for seniors is help maintain joint mobility, reduce pain, and improve balance and coordination. When your spine and joints are moving properly, your body doesn't have to work as hard to get through daily activities. Things like getting out of a chair, walking to the mailbox, playing with grandchildren, or sleeping through the night become more comfortable again.
Dr. Carrion's Gentle Approach
I understand that many seniors are cautious about chiropractic care, and that's completely reasonable. That's why my techniques are specifically suited to older patients. The Activator method uses a small handheld instrument that delivers a gentle, precisely targeted impulse to specific joints. There's no twisting, no cracking, no sudden movements. My patients often tell me they can't believe how comfortable it is.
The Thompson drop table is another technique I rely on with senior patients. The table has sections that drop slightly during the adjustment, which means I need very little manual force. It's effective and comfortable, even for patients with osteoporosis or other conditions that require a careful touch.
Beyond adjustments, I work with my senior patients on gentle exercises and stretches that help maintain strength and flexibility between visits. Staying mobile is one of the best things you can do for your health as you age, and I'm here to support that. Whether you're dealing with a specific problem or just want to keep moving well, chiropractic care can be part of your wellness routine.
